Building and Re-building

We've got the tools and resources to build or re-build a complete machine.  If you supply the drawings and design we can build it. If you're stuck on a design idea one of
our machining experts would be glad to consult with you
on your designing needs.

If you only want us to build part of it and you bring in outside service personnel to finish the job, that works for
us too. While building or rebuilding a machine at D & E,
we want you to think of our shop as your
personal workshop!

Our goal at D & E is to work hand in hand with our customers to simplify the process of building or rebuilding
a machine and to produce a quality product with a low cost.

Welding, Fabricating, Grinding

Machining, welding, and fabricating are processes that go hand in hand. That's why we do it all.  Our machinists can fabricate your parts, machine your parts and, if needed,
we have on-staff welders.

Have your guards made at D & E.  We care about our customers’ safety.  If you have a need for machine
guards, look no further than D & E to produce a quality guard for you.  We can send one of our expert machinists
to your shop to assess your guard needs, take measurements, and create a personalized drawing.
Whether you need a new guard or need to modify an existing guard, together we can come up with a solution
to meet your safety requirements.

We are well known for machining capabilities. What you
may not know is that we have the resources to grind
your parts too.

We have two grinders in our shop: a  Landis OD
Grinder with a max part size of 10" DIA x 20" LG and a
Thompson Surface Grinder (wet) with a max part size of:
6" x 8" x 18".  However, if our customers need more of a precision grind done, we turn to one of our outside grind service companies for their expertise in this area.

Drafting

We pride ourselves in going the extra mile for our customers. This includes our drafting capabilities. If you have a part that needs repaired but no drawing for it, or if you have an idea for a part but haven't had time to sketch
it out, we can assist.

Utilizing our Mastercam software, one of our machining experts can draft a drawing for you. Once we have a drawing made it will go through our shop with the part, another copy will be yours to keep, and a third copy
will stay in our files for future reference.

Mastercam is a CAD/CAM computer program that lets our machinists design parts for 2 and 3 axis milling, turning, 3D design, surface and solid modeling.
Once a part is saved in Mastercam we can pull it back up to change any element of the job and we will immediately
get upgraded toolpaths. Mastercam will also let us save
an entire job set-up, so if the job needs done again, all
the information we need will still be there. It also allows
us to translate data for IGES, PDF's and AutoCAD.
