Have You Ever Asked Your Machine Shop How
Many Inspections a Part is Given Before You Receive It?
Our "Twice Checked" Inspection Process is in
place to eliminate bad parts from getting shipped to our customer.
We inspect your machined
part twice! The
machinist making the part checks his work. He gives the part
and drawing to another machinist and the part is inspected again.
A CMM (Coordinate Measuring
Machine) is then used to inspect the part if the tolerances are
really close (+ or -
.001 or .03mm).Our
CMM gets a certified calibration
every year and is checked before
each use using a
gauge process to ensure accurate measurements.
If the part passes inspection,
the machinists both sign a
green inspection card and your accurate part is prepared
for delivery.If
the part doesn't pass inspection, a red
reject card is signed,
the part is repaired or remade and
the inspection process starts
again until the part passes.
We can provide you with your required
inspection
documents for your ISO program.
With Our Inspection
Process
Bad Parts Don't Reach Our Customers
Most machine shops have their
machinists check over
their
own work and the part is then shipped to the customer. This
results in a substantially above-average return because the part
was made incorrectly and the mistake wasn't caught and fixed.
At D & E we implementd a quality system to make sure your parts gets to you right the first time! |
